Squash is one of the fastest-growing sports among juniors in the United States! It is considered a niche sport with a dedicated and passionate following.
Many private and public schools have squash teams that compete in school varsity and junior-varsity leagues. The High School Nationals held in Philadelphia every year is the largest squash junior team tournament in the world with more than 210 high school teams competing. US Squash, the sport's governing body in the United States, organizes over 200 junior tournaments annually across the country including fielding teams for multiple international tournaments, catering to all levels of play. The US Junior Open is the largest individual junior tournament is the world. Around 35 colleges, including all Ivy League institutions, have varsity squash teams and actively recruit from the junior squash community.

Our Coaches
Paul is an Australian with an extensive playing background, top level coaching qualifications from Australia, Asia, and England, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and over 25 years’ experience coaching elite level players. He has personally coached 59 National Champions in four different countries. Paul was formerly the Scozzie Squash Director, and before that was Scottish Squash National Coach.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR (PA)
Josh Simon is a highly experienced junior development coach who has spent more than a decade working with competitive young athletes across North America. His structured training systems and detailed approach have supported players to win multiple JCTs, U.S. and Canadian Junior Open titles, and earn recruitment opportunities at The Ivy League and top liberal arts institutions.
Claire is a former three-time Scottish National Champion and has represented the Scottish National Team on multiple occasions. After a successful professional playing career, Claire transitioned into coaching. She is a US Squash Certified Coach and holds additional credentials in Strength and Conditioning. Claire's responsibilities include running squads, conducting private lessons, introducing new families to our program, performing initial assessments, handling parent inquiries, and managing enrollment for our in-house rehearsal tournaments.

MAZEN GAMAL
SQUASH DIRECTOR (NJ)
Mazen Gamal is an internationally recognized coach and former PSA World #49 with over 15 years of elite playing and coaching experience across Egypt, Europe, and the United States. Mazen has guided athletes to national titles, international victories, and U.S. collegiate squash success. He has developed and mentored world-class players including Raneem El Welily (World #1), Youssef Ibrahim (Princeton), Marwan Tarek (Harvard), Omar El Torkey (University of Virginia), and U.S. juniors John Paul and Madison Ho.
MICHAEL CRAIG
HEAD PROFESSIONAL (NJ)
Michael brings a wealth of high level squash acumen. A Trinity graduate, Michael was a member of two National Championship winning teams. He was named All American and in 2017 awarded the MVP Player. Michael has represented of his native Ireland on numerous occasions including World Junior Championships. In his most recent coaching role in New York, Michael was a key contributor to one of the best respected junior programs in the United States.
LOUISE FRANK
ELITE FITNESS COACH
Louise is one of the most respected female coaches in the U.S., combining elite playing experience with deep expertise in strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and nutrition. A former world No. 50, she represented Scotland at World, European, and Commonwealth Championships. A former Scottish Coach of the Year, Louise holds a Master’s in Physiology and plays a key role in developing athletes both on and off the court.
As Head of Program Development, Jamie oversees the design and implementation of training programs, applying insights and methodologies obtained from nearly a decade of experience on the PSA World Tour. He works closely with athletes to optimize performance, enhance recovery, and prevent injuries.Jamie was a four-time All-NESCAC team selection at Williams College. On the professional tour, he reached a career-high world ranking of No. 156 and a top-10 U.S. ranking.

TOURING PROFESSIONAL (PA)
Sandeep is an experienced PSA touring professional who has achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 108. Since joining the PSA circuit in 2014, he has earned multiple international titles, including the MST Dubai Series I Championship, and has established himself through consistency, discipline, and high level technical clarity. His approach reflects modern professional squash with particular emphasis on purposeful training, focused repetition, and intelligent match preparation.
Azam leads our Junior Development Program at the PA location, specializing in the critical transition from beginner to competitive athlete.
Azam joins us from Pakistan via Houston and has already made a powerful impression in Philadelphia over the past few seasons. A US Squash Level 3 and WSF Level 2 coach, he brings world-class experience across every stage of development from U11 juniors to top professionals. Before moving to the United States, Azam coached European Champions at the U13, U15, and U17 levels, as well as Czech National Champions from U11 through U19, helping shape multiple generations of elite players with a proven, results driven approach.
