What Squashies can learn from horses… June mini-blog series… :)

Updated: Jul 27, 2021

Horse Quote:

“Who wishes to travel far spares his steed.”

Horse Meaning:

This saying suggests that riders need to be careful, spare energy and ensure that both rider and steed can have the resources to get to the destination.  By hurrying, sometimes the horse could become exhausted and not able to reach “home”.

Take home for Squashies:

While everyone wants to improve as quickly as possible and WIN immediately, sometimes we need to be a little careful.  Overtraining is real.  Doing too much hard physical training or playing is a concern for the most dedicated.  If we train so hard we break and get injured, we never get to our destination – which we hope is the top of the rankings!
