Squash Tigers Satellite #1: A Pro Debut at Exton

This past weekend our Exton facility made history by hosting its first-ever PSA event, the Squash Tigers Satellite #1. For the first time, professional squash came to our courts — and the atmosphere was buzzing from start to finish.

The draw featured a mix of international talent and familiar Tigers connections. Colton McLaughlin, Parth, Alex, and Rubens stepped up to test themselves against top-class opposition, while Max and EA Big Dog Coach  Lyall Paterson visited  Tigers territory much to everyone’s delight. Leading the way was Coach Michael from our New Jersey location, who entered our highest rated player and left our highest rated player! You can see all results via US Squash.

The matches delivered plenty of drama. Parth’s semifinal win over Omar Zakaria earning him a place in the championship, while Michael edged Colton in a tense coach-versus-student four-game battle. The final was set for an all-Tigers showdown, but an unfortunate injury forced Parth to default, giving Michael the honor of becoming the first-ever Satellite champion. It was a tough ending for Parth after an excellent run, and a clear reminder of the physical demands at the top level.

But this weekend was about more than a trophy. Alongside the pros, our juniors took part in the Rehearsal Tournament, playing their own matches, watching the professionals play some of their junior training partners up close, and gaining valuable experience.

A special thank-you goes to Tournament Director Coach Laurent, the PSA players, our Tigers community. The Squash Tigers Satellite #1 was a milestone for Exton — and the first step in what promises to be an exciting new chapter of bringing world-class squash opportunities to our players. 🐅
