Practicing mindfulness can help improve overall performance and aid in focusing on staying present. Mindfulness acts as a tool to help athletes regulate their emotions and reduce anxiety during important events.
A quick mindfulness activity can be as simple as pointing about a couple things that engage the five senses either on or off court. An example looks like 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you can feel through touch, 2 things you can smell or taste and then 1 deep nasal breath.
