Forty players, five divisions, one unforgettable day.
Our Halloween Rehearsal Tournament, the fourth Rehearsal Tournament of the season, brought together players, coaches, and families for a day that captured what Squash Tigers is all about: competition, community, and fun.
This event featured 40 players across all divisions, from Championship through Division 3, making it one of our most energetic and well-contested tournaments yet.

It was made even more special by the presence of a talented crew from Open Squash in New York, who joined under the guidance of their Director, Amr Khalifa. Their players competed with grace and skill, challenging our local athletes while sharing insights and enthusiasm that lifted the entire atmosphere.
A fun fact: Amr and our own Director, Mazen, go way back. The two share a bond formed on the PSA World Tour, where Amr was courtside during some of the matches that helped Mazen break into the Top 50 players in the world. It was a reunion of champions, and the players on court felt that professional energy all day long.

Across all five divisions, the squash was competitive yet full of spirit. In the Championship Division, Coach Michael claimed top honors after a strong final against Will, while Jake and Zeen led the way in the Premier Division. The younger divisions, from Jaydenâs composed performance in Division 1 to Taraâs win in Division 2 and Shivaanâs consistency in Division 3, showed how much depth and promise runs through the Squash Tigers program.
A Rehearsal Tournament is a special in-house event designed to simulate real competition conditions. Players experience structured draws, refereeing, scoring, and court management, all in a supportive environment that emphasizes learning and preparation. It allows players to rehearse everything they will encounter in official US Squash events, from managing nerves and momentum to handling pressure points, with guidance from our coaching team throughout.
We want to thank Coach Mazen and Coach Amr for their leadership and effort in bringing this event together, and Coach Claire for her masterful work organizing the draws. A special mention goes to Coach Michael for his outstanding play and presence on court in the top division.

It was the kind of day that makes everyone want to come back and do it again: exciting matches, supportive crowds, and genuine camaraderie on every court.
A big thank you to all the players, families, and our visiting friends from Open Squash for making this a tournament to remember.
