SUMMER - 2024

SQUASHTIGERS' SUMMER CAMPS for 2024 run for 13 weeks (67 days) from June 1st until  Aug 30th with a break on July 4th and July 5th.

SUMMER CAMPS assist junior players of all ages and levels to move to the next level of achievement. Whether you are beginning in the sport, or pushing towards excellence, this is the camp experience for you! In a fun and hard working atmosphere, players will go through aspects of the game - training tactically, technically and physically led by an experienced and caring team of coaches.

 

Camps run every weekday of Summer with the exception of Jul 4th and Jul 5th. In addition, camps also run the first two weekends of June, i.e., the weekends of Jun 1st/2nd and Jun 8th/9th, albeit with a truncated schedule to accomodate those who may still have school during this period.

 

From Jun 1st till Jun 13th, full-day camps run from 2pm to 7pm Mon-Fri and from 10am to 3pm Sat & Sun, except on June 8th (Sat) which is our REHEARSAL TOURNAMENT day. Camp members will be auto-enrolled into the tournament. From June 16th until Aug 30th, full Day camp runs from 9:30am - 3:30pm with a break from 12 noon to 1pm for lunch. We also offer half day options of 9:30am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-3:30pm. Please refer to the summer 2024 SCHEDULE for more details.

A typical summer camp day looks like this:

9:30-10:00am:      Warm ups, team building and agility training

10:00-10:45am:    On-court - Target Driven Technique development of Shot of the Week

10:45-11:30am:     On-court - Guided Discovery Tactical Training emphasizing Tactical Priority of the Day

11:30-12:00pm:     Squash Specific Physical training - speed, strength, agility and flexibility training

12:00-1:00pm:      Lunch (not included)

1:00-1:30pm:        Warm ups, team building and agility training

1:30-2:15pm:        On-court - Target Driven Technique development of Shot of the Week

2:15-3:00pm:       On-court - Guided Discovery Tactical Training emphasizing Tactical Priority of the Day

3:00-3:30pm:      Squash Specific Physical training - speed, strength, agility and flexibility training

Morning and afternoon camps differ in content and curriculum.  They link well together, but may be taken as standalone training.

In addition to morning and afternoon camps, we also run the PERFORMANCE program. The PERFORMANCE program is small-group training for the most aspiring players currently competing at Gold or JCT levels who wish to accelerate their performance development. Further details on our Performance Program may be found via this link - please note that players should be rated above 4.0 although exceptional circumstances will be considered.

Please note that you may be able to get a tax deduction on the summer camp fee for your child.
